If I have a title with underscores in the name, from a new pull request, which I believe defaults to the branch name, github drops the underscores.

becomes

word1 word2 word3

fix it

It seems the title "humanization" is too aggressive and breaks many common branch naming patterns (JIRA-ticket prefixes with -, snake_case with _, etc.).

Would love an option to disable/reduce the replacement (at least for _).

Why are branch names copied over to title fields touched at all?

Leave them alone.

+1 to leaving them alone by default. This has come up repeatedly (#52735 for dashes, similar requests in older threads), so hopefully enough noise gets it on the roadmap.
